Anatoliy Blinder, left, and Kuban Sorombaev , shovel gravel into concrete mixer which is making a fresh batch of cement to be used on a concrete repairing project, June 26 at Manas Air Base, Kyrgyzstan. The men, who are contractors with Sallyport Global Services, work jobs such as concrete pouring and flightline sweeping in order to keep the roads and sidewalks safe. Being a part of the 376th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, the team’s main purpose here is to keep the flightline cleared for continual refueling, cargo and passenger missions supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
