Airman First Class Javier Pedroza and Master Sgt. Leslie Stivers helps transfer mattresses to a community and humanitarian assistance program called Counterpart International Incorporated, at Manas Air Base, Kyrgyzstan, June 10, 2009. A collaborative effort from the base, the U.S. Embassy, the Kyrgyz Embassy, Department of State, Counterpart International Inc., and the Defense Logistics Agency allowed over 300 mattresses to be donated to six hospitals in nearby capitol of Bishkek. Airman Pedroza is a fitness center quality assurance apprentice, assigned to the 376th Expeditionary Force Support Squadron. He is deployed from the 19th Airlift Wing at Little Rock AFB, Ark., and his hometown is Corpus Christi, Texas. Sergeant Stivers is an utility team crew chief with the 376th Expeditionary Force Support Squadron.
