Military working dogs are vital members of Manas K-9 crew

Staff Sgt. Christopher Jarrell grooms his military working dog companion, Uran, at the 376th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron's MWD compound May 5 at Manas Air Base, Kyrgyzstan. Civilian and military police members are recognized for their contributions and sacrifice during Police Week, May 10 through May 16, 2009. Flags will be flown at half staff May 15 in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day. Sergeant Jarrell is a MWD handler assigned to the 376th Expeditionary Security Force Squadron Military Working Dog and is deployed from the 19th SFS at Little rock Air Force Base, Ark.
