Major Sidney Stegall, 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron, reviews the maintenance paperwork prior to performing preflight checks on a B-1B Lancer here, May 5, 2009, in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. Prior to every sortie the maintenance paperwork is reviewed to ensure the aircrew is aware of any discrepancies with the aircraft prior to performing preflight checks. Major Stegall is native to Pine Log, Ga. and is deployed from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
