SATHER AIR BASE, Iraq – Lt. Col. Steven Painter, 447th Expeditionary Security Forces commander, addresses more than 75 447th ESFS members and fellow Airmen April 3 during a dedication ceremony here honoring Staff Sergeant Travis Griffin, a fallen security forces member who lost his life April 3, 2008, while on patrol in Baghdad, Iraq. During the ceremony, Sather Airmen renamed the base fitness center after Sergeant Griffin. What was once the Tigris Fitness Center is now the Travis L. Griffin Fitness Center.
