JOINT BASE BALAD, Iraq -- Members of the Iowa and Wisconsin Air National Guard, assigned to the 332nd Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, prepare to move F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft off of the runway here, June 13. The aircraft and the personnel from the Iowa and Wisconsin units will return to the U.S., and will be replaced with aircraft and accompanying Airmen from the South Dakota and New York Air National Guard. Rotating fighters helps reduce the amount of time the aircraft are exposed to the hot and dusty weather of Iraq, which can wreak havoc on the planes' components.
