Afghanistan National Army soldiers stand atop a security tower Feb. 17 at Khair-Khana, a primitive Soviet-era fuels facility, built around 1977, with a manual, gravity-fed system without electricity or pumps. The soldiers live in the building below when not on duty. Airmen from the 755th Air Expeditionary Group, Logistics Embedded Training Team, Combined Security Transition Command - Afghanistan, assisted the ANA in transitioning from the outdated facility to a state-of-the-art class III fuel depot.
