KC-135 crew makes Manas tankers' missions happen

From left to right; Airman 1st Class Amanda Puuri, 1st Lt. Patricia Lowry, Senior Airman Nicholas Johnson, and Staff Sgt. Chris Marks, push a broken turbofan engine they recently removed from a KC-135 Stratotanker at Manas Air Base, Kyrgyzstan. One of the turbofan engines was producing less thrust than the other three. Upon further trouble shooting and inspections, it was determined that critical components of the engine were severely degraded, worn out and that an engine change was necessary. The four Airmen are assigned to the 376th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and are deployed from Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Elizabeth Weinberg)
