Lt. Col. Sam Milam, 75th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron commander, prepares to dismount his A-10C Thunderbolt II after competing a mission that broke the unit's 10,000th combat flight hour mark here during a single deployment rotation. This was the first time a squadron deployed here reached 10,000 combat hours. The 75th EFS arrived here in September for a four-month deployment, but was extended to six months. The A-10 Thunderbolt II was the first tactical fighter aircraft to deploy here in 2002.
