AOR emergency mangers gather at Balad to hone skills

BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq -- Master Sgt. Stephen Jakle (right), 407th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron emergency manager from Ali Base, helps Staff Sgt. Amber Albano, 506th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron emergency manager from Kirkuk Regional Air Base, put on her oxygen mask before she investigated an unknown powder substance during a training scenario here, April 17. The suits worn by the team members allow them to respond to real world situations and can protect against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear materials. Being confident and comfortable with their equipment allows emergency managers to focus on the task at hand. Sergeant Jakle is deployed from the Michigan Air National Guard; Sergeant Albano is deployed from Beale Air Force Base, Calif. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Senior Airman Julianne Showalter)
