BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq -- Staff Sgt. Karl Ferree, a structural craftsman assigned to the 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, positions plaques listing the names of Tech. Sgt. Anthony Capra and Staff Sgts. Christopher Frost and Travis Griffin here, April 16. . The three Airmen lost their lives during operations in Iraq during the past six weeks. The names and badges of Airmen who have died during the Global War on Terrorism are displayed on the Airman Memorial at Balad AB to serve as a reminder of those who have paid the ultimate price for America's freedom and security.
