Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Staff Sgt. Darnell T. Cannady, a photographer assigned to the public affairs office of the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, sets up a photo, Jan. 1, 2009, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The photographers of the public affairs office are charged with documenting the 379 AEW's efforts in the global war on terror. They visually tell the Air Force story through photos of airmen performing the mission day after day, through the myriad of jobs that are accomplished on base. Sergeant Cannady is a native of New Carrollton, Md., and deployed from Kadena Air Base, Japan, in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
