PARWAN REFUGEE CAMP, Afghanistan -- An Afghan boy waits to receive shoes and clothes during a humanitarian assistance visit. The items distribute were donated to Operation Care by American citizens. Donations increased after a 5-year-old boy was treated at the Craig Theater Hospital here who had no shoes. The doctor caring for him, Lt. Col. Thomas Knolmayer, called home and asked his wife to send a pair of his son's shoes for the child, sparring a rash of shoe donations.
