(11/18/08) - Master Sgt. Lee Braun is this week's Diamond Sharp Airman. The 376th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron physical security noncommissioned officer in charge, is deployed from the 182nd Airlift Wing in Peoria, Ill. During his deployment at Manas, Sergeant Braun has made substantial contributions to increasing the security posture of the base. He consistently steps up to tasks that need to be accomplished without direction, always seeking ways to improve not only ESFS operations but whatever needs to be done to make Manas better according to Sergeant Braun’s supervisor, "He has been instrumental in training the wing’s Confrontation Management Team to suppress any potential threats to the base. Sergeant Braun instituted a tracking system to identify and account for portable guard shacks, trailers, and MP5000 barriers, which are essential to the Air Base Defense Program.” (U.S. Air Force courtesy photo)
