Staff Sgt. James McCutcheon, aircraft metals technology craftsman assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron, repairs a cracked axle with a tungsten inert gas welder Oct. 31, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The 379th EMXS performs the majority of back-shop repair for assigned aircraft, allowing them to continue to fly and carry out the Global War on Terrorism.
