A contender competes in the Powerball event during an American Gladiators competition at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, Oct. 7. Powerball is an event in which contenders have to score points by getting balls into scoring pods within a time limit. Each contender is assigned a Gladiator whose aim is to stop them scoring by tagging them with both hands. Both the Air Force and the Army competed together against the American Gladiators, who are touring bases in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
