SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Staff Sgt. Craig Peterson and Staff Sgt. Jonathan Leloux (right), avionics system technicians with the 380th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, attach down locks to the first operational trans-atlantic joint-launched Global Hawk here Sept. 21. The unmanned aircraft just returned from its first sortie out of its new home at the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing here. It was only on the ground for about five hours after its historic flight from PAX River, Md., Sept. 20 before being turned around and sent into the Area of Operations. Both noncommissioned officers are deployed here from the 9th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron's 12th Aircraft Maintenance Unit out of Beale Air Force Base, Calif.
