Joint MRAP training

SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Petty Officer 3rd Class Andrew Bourne familiarizes himself with the control panel of a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle vehicle during an MRAP on Sep. 4 at an air base in Southwest Asia. The MRAP training course is taught in a joint-service environment to simulate real world experiences military members will encounter while deployed to bases in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. The Department of Defense has purchased more than 5,200 MRAP vehicles for servicemembers. Petty Officer Bourne is deployed from the Naval Construction Battalion Center, Port Hueneme, Calif. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Raheem Moore)
