Bringing the voice

Staff Sgt. Clyde Hunt guides his leg of a tower down onto a bolt embedded into a concrete base while Staff Sgt. All three Airmen are assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Communications Squadron and are part of a team exchanging aging towers with a sturdier replacement that should last nearly twice as long. The Giant Voice system is used to communicate important information to all base populace instantaneously. Sergeant Hunt, a native of Shreveport La., is deployed from the Louisiana Air National Guard. Airman Rowland hails from Athens, Ga., and is deployed from Royal Air Force Lakenheath, United Kingdom, and Sergeant Arnold, a native of Muncie, Ind., is deployed from the Fort Wayne Air National Guard, Ind.
