SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Airman 1st Class Johana Montoya, 386th Expeditionary Medical Group, writes down a bag identification number after scanning luggage through a metal detector at the Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility at a base in Southwest Asia. Medical technicians perform anti-hijacking procedures while admitting and discharging patients and their luggage, to ensure a safe flight to other medical centers in Europe and the continental U.S. The CASF is a medical facility that provides personnel and equipment for the aeromedical evacuation of ill and wounded U.S. and coalition force members.
