Airman's packaging idea carves hours from hazmat response

JOINT BASE BALAD, Iraq -- Senior Airman Michael Blair, 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron emergency management equipment technician, pieces together a 12-cubic-foot box used to hold instruments needed for responding to hazardous material situations here July 12. The kit replaces a previous four-case response package. Using one response kit instead of three or four has cut the 332nd ECES' Emergency Management Flight's response time by more than 75 percent.
