Retired U.S. Army Sgt. Marrocco was welcomed by 386th Air Expeditionary Wing leadership and Tech. Sgt. Sarah Gann, 386th AEW protocol office. He is from Staten Island, New York and was injured in Baaji, Iraq, April 12, 2009. He sustained injuries to his left eye and carotid artery and is a quadruple amputee.
