Retired U.S. Army Sgt. Brendan Marrocco arrives at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia May 28, 2014 as a part of Operation Proper Exit. This operation provided Marrocco and five other wounded warriors an opportunity to recover from internal and external injuries sustained on the battlefield. Marrocco and other members of Operation Proper Exit were welcomed by the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing protocol team as distinguished visitors. The Staten Island, New York native was injured in Baaji, Iraq, April 12, 2009 where he sustained injuries to his left eye and carotid artery and is a quadruple amputee. He is continuing his rehabilitating process at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center from a double arm transplant. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Jeremy Bowcock)
