Senior Airman Matthew Edge secures the common remotely operated weapon station on a mine-resistant assistant-vehicle (MRAP) after an open house May 3, 2014 held at the explosive ordnance shop at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The open house was one of the events held to celebrate National Explosive Ordnance Disposal Day by members of EOD and to honor those EOD technicians who have lost their lives. Edge, from Sumas, Washington, is an EOD technician who is deployed from the 627th Civil Engineer Squadron, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
