Combat sorties over Afghanistan

A U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon from the 93rd Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, flies a combat sortie, April 2, 2014. The F-16C Fighting Falcon is a compact, multi-role fighter aircraft. It is highly maneuverable and has proven itself in air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attack. It provides a relatively low-cost, high-performance weapon system for the United States. During this sortie the F-16C provided close air support capabilities to Operation Enduring Freedom coalition ground troops. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Jason Robertson/Released)
