A U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon from the 93rd Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, conducts aerial refueling with a KC-10 Extender advanced aerial tanker and cargo aircraft from the 908th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron, April 2, 2014, over Northeast, Afghanistan. The F-16C Fighting Falcon is a compact, multi-role fighter aircraft. It is highly maneuverable and has proven itself in air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attack. It provides a relatively low-cost, high-performance weapon system for the United States. The KC-10 Extender aircrew provided aerial refueling to coalition aircraft operating over Afghanistan for more than eight hours on this single mission. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
