Technical Sgt. Felita LaRock, a vocalist for the U.S. Air Forces Central Command band, “Systems Go,” sings, while Technical Sgt. James Smith on bass guitar plays for service members New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2013 in Southwest Asia. LaRock, a native of Newark, OH, and Smith, a York, Pa. native, are deployed here from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, home of the “Systems Go” band. This AFCENT band performs a wide variety of hit songs from genres such as jazz, pop, rock and country, providing a high energy atmosphere raising joint and coalition morale.
