Master Sgt. Tim Farris, NATO Air Training Command-Afghanistan maintenance advisor, received a phone call from President Barack Obama on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28, 2013, to thank him for his service and dedication as he nears completion of a year-long deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan. As a maintenance advisor to the Afghan Air Force, Farris is responsible for training and advising the members of the AAF as they move towards creating a sustainable and independent air force.
