Flying lead; Afghan Air Force takes over instruction of crucial air mission planning course

U.S. Army Capt. Brandt Anderson, the Task Force Falcon team leader for the Kabul Air Wing Partnership and a CH-47 Chinook helicopter pilot; and U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Kyle Cheeseman, a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter instructor pilot, both from the U.S. Army’s 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, listen to a translator during an after-action review Nov. 5, 2013. The AAR was led by an Afghan Air Assault Planning Certification Course instructor. The U.S. advisors have symbolically moved from being seated at the table with the class, to the back of the room, as their role becomes assessing the Afghan instructors training Afghan flight crews.
