Honoring the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders

376th Air Expeditionary Wing and sister service personnel gather to honor the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders with a final toast at Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan, Nov. 10, 2013. Attendees also watched a video of the ceremony that took place at the National Museum of the Air Force, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Oh., Nov. 9, 2013. On April 18, 1942, 80 men achieved the unimaginable when they took off from an aircraft carrier on a top secret mission to bomb Japan. These men, led by Lt. Col. James H. "Jimmy" Doolittle, came to be known as the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. James O'Brien)
