U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Michael McBeth, 738th Air Expeditionary Advisory Group flight surgeon, works with Afghan Air Force medical technicians as part of NATO Air Training Command-Afghanistan Sept. 7, 2013 at the Kandahar Air Wing, Afghanistan. The year 2013 has already proven to be a turning point for the AAF and CASEVAC. The total number of CASEVAC movements is expected to double from those performed in 2012. By mid-September 2013, CASEVAC movements have already reached 933 with an average of 124 per month
