386th AEW transitions to commercial jet fuel

Staff Sgt. Robert Bradley, 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, fuels laboratory technician, prepares to test the levels of Fuels System Icing Inhibitor injected into the squadron’s first shipment of Jet A1 fuel here, July 16, 2013. The 386th Air Expeditionary Wing has joined many other Air Force units in making the switch from JP8, military specification fuel, to commercial fuel. Bradley and other members of the fuels flight are responsible for injecting the additives needed to get the Jet A1 fuel ready for use in the base’s aircraft.
