Foreign-born Airmen deploy, live their American Dream
Staff Sgt. Nana Dankwa is a foreign-born Airman who spent most of his early life in Accra, Ghana. He lived with his grandparent’s and moved to America as an adult. After a couple of years, Dankwa joined the U.S. Air Force, eventually becoming a U.S. citizen. Dankwa is a civil engineer deployed out of Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, and is the NCO in charge of civil engineering for the 451st Expeditionary Support Squadron at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan.
