A pilot from the 774th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron prepares a C-130J Super Hercules for takeoff at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Oct. 4, 2017. The C-130J is the "workhorse" of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing. The aircraft is capable of landing in austere conditions and brings personnel and supplies to forward locations throughout Afghanistan, enabling the NATO Resolute Support mission to train, advise, and assist the Afghan military.
