    Rescue exchange: Firefighters train, build trust with Italian aircrews

    U.S. Air Force firefighters partner up with Italian Air Force (ITAF) members to trade knowledge of fire prevention, familiarization and conduct emergency exercises here at the 407th Air Expeditionary Group (AEG) in Southwest Asia. The training between the two units consists of familiarizing the 407th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron (ECES) fire department of possible hazards associated with AMX and C-27 ITAF aircraft. And in return, the fire department provides ITAF personnel with fire prevention measures utilizing different types of extinguishers to coalition partners.

    Blueprint for success: Air National Guard officer combines architecture, military career

    Lt. Col. Heidi Gibson not only achieved, but tackles two such impressive careers at the same time. Gibson holds the titles of principal in her very own architecture firm and is the 163rd Civil Engineer Squadron commander with the U.S. Air National Guard at March Air Reserve Base, California. Currently, she is deployed to the 407th Air Expeditionary Group as the commander of the civil engineer squadron here.

    Medical Group shuts down last EMEDS tent in AFCENT, moves to new facility

    In a new chapter in the storied Red Tails legacy, the 332nd Expeditionary Medical Group is slated to close the last active Expeditionary Medical Support System tent in the Air Force Central Command region.
