Motivation Monday: Al Udeid AB postal clerks
379th Air Expeditionary Wing
June 28, 2018 | 1:05
Got mail? This #MotivationMonday, meet the motivated military postal clerks who sort and deliver thousands of care packages to Al Udeid Air Base each week. AUAB postal clerks work 10-hours day, six days a week to ensure approximately 1,000 to 3,000 pieces of mail are sorted and delivered to service members deployed daily. Mail is imported from Qatar’s Hamad International Airport. “You need a positive attitude, good customer service and knowledgeable about regulations – USPS and U.S. Air Forces Central Command regulations – there are two different directives,” said Senior Master Sgt. Marina Egan, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing Force Support Squadron military postal supervisor.
Additionally, AUAB postal clerks depend on volunteers year-round to help sort and process mail. Volunteer opportunities are available seven days a week.
