"Good neighbors" on Qatari beaches

379th Air Expeditionary Wing

One person’s trash, is not necessarily another one’s treasure. Jar Saleh is Al Udeid's community-service organization. This summer, members of the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing are sweating it up on the beaches of Qatar in collaboration with Doha’s Environmental Actions Project to be “good neighbors” while deployed. Each month, Jar Saleh removes up to 4,000 pounds of garbage from Qatari beaches. Additionally, the organization also volunteers their time at the American School of Doha among a half-dozen other community engagement projects.
