Civil Engineer Rapid Airfield Damage Repair Training
386th Air Expeditionary Wing
Aug. 19, 2019 | 0:53
Rapid Airfield Damage Repair (RADR) is a vital function of CE after an attack. Airmen from the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron Water and Fuels Systems Maintenance (WFMS) recently got to train on their role during RADR operations. WFMS Airmen cut the damaged portion out of the runway allowing the rest of CE to follow behind and complete repairs allowing aircraft to return to operations in a matter of hours instead of days.
