U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18D Hornet aircraft from Marine All Weather Attack Squadron 224, Marine Aircraft Group 31 recieve fuel from U.S. Air Force KC-135R Stratotankers assinged to the 379th Expeditionary Operations Group during operations supporting Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve. CJTF-OIR enables its partners to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS in designated areas of Iraq and Syria and sets conditions for follow-on operations to increase regional stability.
