SOUTHWEST ASIA –The opening of the new integrated medical clinic was signified by a ribbon cutting ceremony July 22, 2017, at the 407th Air Expeditionary Group in Southwest Asia.

The new clinic will house U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and coalition medical professionals who provide excellent, personalized medical care that enables our forces to generate, execute and sustain combat airpower.

“Our priority is to maximize the human weapon system to then enable joint and coalition combat capabilities in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE,” said Maj. Phillip Pope from the 332nd Expeditionary Medical Group.

The new facility will consolidate medical care into one central servicing facility for the entire population at the 407th Air Expeditionary Group.

A key tenet of the medical clinic that makes it unique from our peers, is the integral partnership support provided by the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force (SPMAGTF) and coalition partners as their mission requirements allow.

It provides centralized ambulance and emergency response that enriches capabilities and enhances the interoperability of forces here.

The next step is complete Phase II of the medical campus.  This involves two additional buildings to house the remaining support and administrative functions for both Air Force and Navy medics.

“This new facility will continue to provide the best medical care because our joint efforts are second to none,” said Col. John Gonzales, 407th AEG commander.
