The 332d Air Expeditionary Wing's Warrior of the Week for the week of April 5, is Technical Sgt. Steven Gupton, 26th Expeditionary Rescue Squadron flight equipment noncommissioned officer in charge. Gupton oversees all of the 1st Expeditionary Rescue Squadron’s HC-130J Combat King II aircrew safety equipment, including all rescue Aircrew Flight Equipment Flight operations and managing the combat survivor evader locator radio program. He ensures the section provides aircrew with operational gear, such as helmets, survival vests, night vision goggles, and other essential items, allowing the 332d AEW to provide specialized combat search and rescue capabilities for Air Force Central Command’s area of responsibility. “He's an outstanding individual,” said Master Sgt. Jeremy Hayes, 26th ERQS senior enlisted leader. “He is full of life and energy, bringing a lot to the table with installation and wing involvement, running the shop by himself for rescue and helping out all the other AFE shops with his technical expertise. Gupton has been amazing for us.” Warrior of the Week is a competitive recognition program that highlights significant contributions made by individual Airmen who raise the Red Tail standard and enhance the mission and capabilities of the 332d Air Expeditionary Wing.
