The 332d Air Expeditionary Wing's Warrior of the Week for the week of June 27 is Senior Airman Jeremy Melgar, 332d Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron munitions controller.

“Jeremy is a consummate munitions professional and true leader among his peers,” Senior Master Sgt. Robert Akers, 332d EMXS Munitions Flight chief said. “He works with multiple wing agencies on a weekly basis in execution of the Red Tails mission.”

In addition to pursuing his Aeronautical Engineering Bachelor’s degree, Melgar executes command and control functions for the 332d EMXS Munitions Flight by directing and monitoring munitions movements, transactions, and expenditures in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE.

The 332d EMXS Munitions Flight provides reliable and lethal combat munitions to support commander objectives anytime, anywhere within the assigned Area of Responsibility. They are an organization of reliable and ready munitions professionals who execute on-time sortie generation support, contributing to the fulfillment of CENTCOM’s logistics and munitions operational objectives.

Warrior of the Week is a competitive recognition program that highlights significant contributions made by individual Airmen who raise the Red Tail standard and enhance the mission and capabilities of the 332d Air Expeditionary Wing.
