Aircraft Parts Store Provides Maintenance Equipment

Maintaining aircraft and other machinery on base depends on a steady supply of parts. This is why the 332d Expeditionary Logistics Squadron Aircraft Parts Store continuously stocks, maintains and distributes a warehouse full of assets that can be provided at a moment’s notice.

APS is open 24 hours a day and supports all maintenance functions on base. They manage more than 200,000 parts worth a combined $183 million, ensuring that when something breaks down on base, it can be addressed immediately.

In addition to supporting their own unit, the 332d ELRS APS takes redistribution orders, providing equipment to other bases when needed.

Tech. Sgt. Toni Lee, Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the APS, says that their warehouse cuts down greatly on the amount of time it takes to perform required maintenance due to not having to wait for parts. “Additionally, having the size of warehouse that we manage helps prevent mission critical assets from having to be sourced from other bases around the world.”
