Congratulations to U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. select Jonathan M. Steele! Steele was recognized for his upcoming promotion by other U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeants. during a brief ceremony Tuesday. The promotion came while Steele was deployed to an undisclosed location.

“I know that I’m the one being celebrated,” said Steele, “but list of mentors, friends and family that put me in the position to be selected would require a table of contents.”

The rank of Chief Master Sgt. is the highest enlisted military rank. By federal law, no more than 1.25% of the Air Force enlisted force may hold the rank of chief master sergeant.
