AL UDEID AIR BASE, QATAR -- Resilient is defined as being hardy, strong, tough, robust, and spirited; all relevant words for Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines deployed to this AOR to defend America. These words apply to our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual fitness.
Research has shown that if you practice a strong belief system; if you are connected to your family, unit, and community; and if you are seeking to find meaning in life, then you are on a solid path to being spiritually resilient!
Our new rotation of the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing Chaplain Corps team is honored to serve with each of you and be your point of contact for spiritual growth. Our mandate is to ensure your constitutional right to Free Exercise of Religion and to provide opportunities to cultivate spiritual resiliency. We do this through worship, counseling, teaching, and by deploying a Religious Support Team (RST) to each unit.
Next week you will see our RSTs performing a blitz across Al Udeid to introduce ourselves in each of your units. We will distribute carabineers stenciled with the "Believe, Belong, and Become" mantra and our phone number at 437-8811. Our team believes that relationships are critical for each of us to flourish and grow. I encourage you to get to know your chaplain and chaplain assistant. They are amazing people called to serve by caring for all people assigned in our spiritual AOR! Please let us know what we can do to support you during your time at Al Udeid.
