Customer service has always played a vital role in the operability and readiness of military installations. This role intensifies in a deployed location. Being away from family and friends can be a difficult time for many military personnel. Seeing a friendly face or receiving a simple smile along with “How are you?” could make the difference between a good or bad day. Senior Airman Young Jung, 379th Expeditionary Force Support Squadron food service technician, is that friendly face.

Jung has been deployed to Al Udeid Air Base since January.  His display of commitment to customer service has earned him this month’s Airman spotlight.
