AL UDEID AIR BASE, Qatar -- Airmen assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron weather operations flight keep constant watch over the forecast and conditions that can affect Al Udeid and the safety of its service members. It is their job to communicate weather forecasts to commanders and personnel in preparation for daily mission operations. They also utilize the latest technology, like the TMQ-53 weather sensor and laser range finders, to predict weather patterns, measure surface pressure, wind speed and direction, temperature, surface visibility, precipitation and lightning detection.
