AL UDEID AIR BASE, Qatar -- The 379th Air Expeditionary Wing will host members of the Washington Nationals at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, for a live simulcast of the team’s home game at Nationals Park in Washington D.C., against the Cincinnati Reds, July 4, 2023. The event will be streamed by the Major League Baseball Network and Amercian Forces Network, globally.
The event at AUAB will take place at the Fox Skybox Lounge starting with a meet and greet with former Nationals player, Adam LaRoche, at 5:00 p.m followed by a simulcast of the game starting at 6:05 p.m. The game will include footage of service members on base conducting an honorary first pitch, ballpark games, prizes and a salute to service. Live footage from the watch party will be integrated into the game’s video board programming and MASN telecast, creating a true international viewing event.
The intent of the event is to have deployed members who are sports fans watch the game and participate in the simulcast. The Nationals are also providing free tickets for families and friends of deployed members to attend the game at Nationals Park.
