SOUTHWEST ASIA --  Leslie and I, along with Chief Wicks and Jeanette, would like to extend our heartfelt greetings this holiday season and thank each of you for making 2012 another great year for the Grand Slam Wing.

Together, along with our coalition and host nation partners, we had a very  successful year. The commitment and expertise each of you brought to the fight is immeasurable. As you celebrate this season, reflect on the difference you made and continue to make. Also, reflect on the sacrifices your family and friends are making at home and their love and support for you and your service to our nation.

Although the holidays are a time of celebration, we know the season may be a difficult time for some. For those of you having a rough time, reach out to a friend or co-worker for support. If you see a co-worker who may be struggling, reach out to him or her. The smallest gesture can make all the difference to someone in need. Please take care of one another; out here, we are all family.

As the New Year approaches, hold hope as your anchor and keep faith in each other, making sure we complete our mission and get each other home safely!

Again, thank you for your dedication and selfless service. Best wishes to you and yours during this special time and we look forward to welcoming 2013 with you all.
