AFMC commander visits base, discusses future Air Force operations

SOUTHWEST ASIA --  Gen. Donald Hoffman, Air Force Materiel Command commander, visited the base March 15 - 17 to speak with Airmen about the changes in the Air Force budget and how that affects operations in the future.

AFMC manages the Air Force's research, development, test, and evaluation programs, as well as acquisition management services and logistics support to develop, procure, and sustain Air Force weapon systems.

Because The 379th Air Expeditionary Wing is one of the most diverse wings in Southwest Asia, Hoffman viewed different airframes and support units to see how processes could be more streamlined in the future.
